1. Where can I stay when I come for the festival?

2. Is there camping on site at the festival?
   No, however there is a Kaslo Municipal Campground located near the festival site.
3. Should I arrange accommodation ahead of time?
   Yes. The Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival effectively doubles the town’s normal population of 1000 to 2000 people. Accommodation is limited, and many of our festival visitors stay in nearby Nelson or New Denver.
4. Will my cell phone work in Kaslo?
   Yes, your cell phone will work in the valley.
5. Can we bring our dog to the festival?
   No. Dogs are not permitted on the festival site.
6. Are there food vendors on site?
   Yes there are. We try to arrange for a variety of food vendors – catering to vegetarian and omnivorous palates.
7. Can we pack our own picnic?
   Yes, of course. Note, however, that alcohol and glass containers are (like dogs) not welcome on the festival site. So don’t try to hide your German Shepherd in your cooler.
8. Can I bring my favourite lawn chair?
   Yes, you may. Tall chairs are directed by signage to set up a certain distance from the stage. Low profile festival chairs and blankets are permitted closer to the stage.
9. Is there room for dancing?
   You bet! A special no-seating area to one side of the stage is reserved for dancing. Those who do not wish to dance can stay in their seats without having their line of vision blocked. Cool, eh?
10. Is there a beer garden on site?
    Yes. We support local breweries and vineyards.
11. Is the festival ‘family and kid friendly’?
    You bet. The mood at the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival is relaxed and happy. Kids can play at the beach or enjoy the expanse of lawn in Kaslo Bay Park (the festival site). Children 12 & under accompanied by their parents are free.
12. Is there air service to Kaslo?
    Kaslo has its own airstrip for private planes. Ask your local pilot about flying into Kaslo. Nearest commercial airports are Castlegar, BC, Kelowna BC, Spokane, WA and Calgary AB. Nelson, BC also has a small commercial airport.
13. Is there a bus service to Kaslo?
    The nearest Greyhound Bus depot is in Nelson, BC.
14. Can I vend on the street in Kaslo? Vendors may not operate on any public property with out a business license. For more details contact the Village of Kaslo office.

1. No Glass allowed on site
2. No Carry-in Alcohol
3. No Pets
4. No Illegal Substances
5. No Vehicles
6. Swim At Own Risk- no lifeguard on duty
7. No Cliff Diving
8. Do not remove any alcohol from the beer gardens
9. Please observe seating and dancing area arrangements
10. Please stay back from the floating stage area
11. Smokers please be courteous and respectful to your neighbors
