The Castlegar Municipal Airport which is located approximately 1.5 hours south of Kaslo is the closest center in our area for domestic flights. The Kaslo air-strip was developed primarily for light single and twin engine planes. The strip is used primarily by pleasure aircraft but is also used for emergency medical evacuation and forestry. The strip is open for seasonal landings from late spring to late fall.

Float planes can land on Kootenay Lake. Kaslo Bay has a sheltered lagoon for harbouring pontoon equipped planes.
