All expenses incurred by Festival Concert productions are covered through gate receipts, membership fees and corporate sponsorship. It is through the support of our members, however, that the viability of our organization is sustained year by year.

Please show your support — Volunteer to help out with the Festival!

All Festival Volunteers must be a member in good standing of the Society. Memberships are available through our online store. Become a KJES Member

Volunteers will be scheduled for 3 hours on Friday, 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Orientation for all Volunteers will be required before working. You will be contacted after your Volunteer Application Form has been received.

Volunteer Accumulated Hourly Commitment for KJES Festival:
  • CLASS A Volunteer: Volunteers who work off the festival site (primarily administrative tasks) will make a total commitment of 16 hours for a 3 day pass to the event.
  • CLASS B Volunteer: Volunteers who work on the festival site will make a total commitment of 13 hours for a 3 day pass to the event.
  • CLASS C Volunteer: Parking volunteers work only 10 hours for a three day pass to the event.
  • CLASS D Volunteer: Set-up volunteers work 10 hours or two full days for a weekend pass to the event.
  • CLASS E Volunteer: Strike volunteers work 10 hours post festival for a weekend pass to the event.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many types of volunteers required to ensure the success of the festival, including:

  • Merchandise and/or Information Hosts
    Volunteers will be selling merchandise and answering questions about the festival.
  • Main Gate/Ticket Sales
    Volunteers will be taking and selling tickets and affixing wristbands.
  • Beergarden
    Volunteers will handle ticket sales, service, and security.
  • Equipment
    Volunteers will be transporting and loading/unloading equipment.
  • Advance Set-Up Crew
    Volunteers will erect and disassemble the main stage and the beergarden, install fencing, and other general site preparation.
  • Security Crew
    Volunteers are needed to be security at gates, backstage, and perimeter of festival site.
  • Parking
    Volunteers will monitor and direct traffic at festival site.
  • Administration
    Volunteers with management skills are needed to oversee various aspects of the festival. Security, vendors, grounds maintenance, dance Saturday evening, Beergarden, Billets.
  • Survey and Tracking
    Volunteers will interview festival patrons.
  • Dismantle Crew
    Volunteers are needed to dismantle site on Monday.
